We enjoy playing shape and colours games.

Shape snap

We really enjoy playing shape snap.

We can recognize and name circles, squares, rectangles, triangles, ovals, semi-circles, pentagons, hexagons, diamonds and stars.

We like patterns.

We are able to follow pattern instructions to make interesting patterns.

Sorting by colour

We had fun today sorting various toys by colour.

Measuring capacity

 Today we did some measuring.

We talked about containers that hold more or less than other containers.

Then came the fun part.....

 We headed outside to try estimating and guessing at how many cups it would take to fill a jug, a bucket, a large lunch box and a flask.

 Some of us were great at estimating.  Most of us can't wait to try this at home in our own sinks or in our own baths.

Being a green school, we are very keen to recycle whenever we can, so we took the water we were measuring with to our class garden and we watered our delicious cabbages and strawberries.
