Counting stick and human number line: Senior Infants
Maths trail-Maths Week, Senior Infants
We went on a Maths Trail for Maths week. We had to count trees, look at the colour of the lines on the road, look for berries, seeds, pick a leaf and look for shapes, square, circle, diamond, star, and rectangle. We recorded our findings. It was great fun!
Maths activities, Senior Infants
We have been doing some Maths Activities to help us learn our numbers. We used counting trays and put the correct amount of cubes into each section of the tray. We swapped trays so we could do it again and again. We all know our numbers now!

Halloween Data
Thursday, October 21st, 2010
Today we had a chat about what are our favourite Hallowe'en things. Then we each chose a picture of our favourite Hallowe'en thing. We made a data chart of this and we chatted about how many in each group, which group had the most/least. We counted each group. Even teachers who popped into our class got a chance to tell us what they liked. We are getting very good at the language of Maths, counting, adding, comparing. Our chart looks great too!

Maths Trail: Senior Infants
We did a Maths trail for Maths Week last week - looking for shapes, colours and numbers near our classroom. We counted trees on the grass and we were amazed how many different shapes we could see in one small area!
Activity Time, Junior Infants
In the mornings we love doing activities of all sorts. We love threading beads, making puzzles and making patterns and designs with our peg boards.

Maths week, Maths trail, Senior Infants
Monday, October 11th, 2010
This week is Maths Week in Ireland. Today we went on a Maths Trail - looking for colours and shapes in our environment. We drew flowers and berries, counted trees and cars, wrote number plates and colours, and picked leaves and seeds. We saw lots of squares, circles, triangles, rectangles, diamonds and even some star shapes. It was so much fun looking at maths all round us.Tuesday, October 5, 2010
